FAQs

All our locations offer groups and classes for kids ages 2-6. Select locations also offer the 7-9, 10-12, and 13-15 age groups.

This is a group for kids ages 18-month to 2yrs old. Parents/Grandparents or an adult guardian accompanies the child during the session helping to guide them through the practice and interacting with the player.

All players are required to have close toed shoes. No sandals, flip flops and crocs are discouraged during activity.

All players ages 3 and up are required to have shin-guards during the entirety of the session. Players 3 and up without shin-guards will unfortunately be not allowed to participate until they have them on.

Players ages 7 and up are recommended to have cleats. This age group of players are also encouraged to bring a size 4 soccer ball however the coach will have soccer balls if they do not have one.

Bring plenty of water especially during warmer seasons/days.

At the top of the page there will be a list of tabs. If on a mobile device there will be a button you can click next to “Crab Kickers” which has 3 lines in a square. This will reveal a drop down menu.

Select "Programs" then pick your season

All winter programs are INDOORS.

Spring, Summer and Fall seasons will all be held OUTSIDE.

The only exception to this is our Whiteford location which operates inside of an indoor location ALL year round for the 4 seasons we play.

Due to safety reasons and to protect all our participants we do not place the address of our programs online or on our website. Each location gives a description with a general radius of where the program is held typically nearby local schools.

Upon registration you will shortly receive an email from “Ryzer” that confirms your registration/payment has gone through. At a later point typically 1-2 weeks before the start of the season you will receive an informational email from CrabKickers1@gmail.com that includes address, name of your coach and other details you might need.

Many of our participants are first time players or beginners. Our curriculum and sessions are set up in a way where each child spends a select amount of time working on individual skills and techniques pertinent to their own personal development. Many of the mini-games/drills we include in our program also has each child working with their own ball. This maximizes repetitions and vital touches on the ball that is necessary for growth in the sport. Only during the scrimmage portion of the session do players go up head to head in competitive style.

For more information or to discuss the coaching position please contact CoachCrabKickers@gmail.com or call (443) 683-2938

Many registrations are open typically 1-2 seasons ahead of time.

Example: If it is Spring then the Summer and Fall registrations are typically open.

If groups are filled then it will say “Sold Out" and will not let you sign-up. If during the registration it asks for your child’s name/DOB then that means there are still spots open and you can sign-up.

Our coaches have experience working with kids with Special needs. We do our best to accommodate all players and to create a safe space for all kids to learn and grow. We do however only have 1 coach running each group and so if special attention is needed for a child it is the parents responsibility to be attentive and ensure that child behavior is appropriate for setting , allowing the group/games to run smoothly.

These situations vary widely, once a group is filled completely a waitlist is created. IF a participant drops out then we call whoever is next on the waitlist. Some groups never have anyone drop out at all. A few of the waitlists are also at times filled and it is on a first come first serve basis for those that get in. We recommend participants sign-up for a class with spots open and then register for a waitlist for a chance to move. This ensures that your child will play for that season.

For some reason our informational email may appear under the spam folder. Please search your inbox for an email sent from CrabKickers1@gmail.com / CrabKickers2@gmail.com

Many parents find themselves in a situation where for example their child is 4 and about to turn 5 then wonder if they should sign-up for the 3-4 group or the 5-6 group. We ask parents to register for the class they feel will fit their child best. If your child is a beginner and more on the shy side then perhaps keeping them in the younger group is best. If your child is very confident on the field and has excelled in previous seasons with us then maybe moving them up is the correct move.

Yes, all our programs allow players the opportunity to play with and against both boys and girls. This gives a unique experience where friends and families can play with each other in order to experience soccer fun on the same day and time together.

► Due to Maryland weather being so sporadic and unpredictable it is quite common for us to wait to make an official decision on the status of soccer sessions until up to an hour before the start of the group. Ex: If your group starts at 5pm expect an email to be sent out about closings or delays at 4pm. This allows us to avoid canceling on days where the weather clears up and doesn’t follow inaccurate weather predictions.

► We will continue practices and run them as normal during rain however if temperatures are low enough or if it is raining hard enough we will look to move indoors/ or cancel the session entirely.

► For extreme heat we follow the BCPS heat index that indicates whether it is safe for children to be active outside or not.

► Any session cancellations are rescheduled and made up at the end of the soccer season to ensure completion of all 8-weeks.

Our 8-week program runs once a week for 8 weeks in a row. During that time players learn fundamental skills, techniques, play fun drills and for certain age groups split up into teams to play games of soccer. We include a little bit of everything during our sessions so that players get a full experience that is both fun AND beneficial for growth.

Yes, our Spring Break, Summer, and Winter Holiday camps are all events that allow for parents to drop off kids at the camp at 9am so long as they are back for pick-up by 11:50am. This is because we staff enough coaches to watch and monitor a number of kids. The 8-week program is NOT a drop off and go event as classes are short and in the event there is an issue there is only 1 coach on site that must also still be able to run their session.
